Harrah resident Zenobia K. White died December 28, 2005 in Harrah at the age of 89. She was born April 28, 1916 in Center Point, Arkansas. She moved to Dale, Oklahoma in September, 1919, when she was 3 years old. She has resided in Harrah, Oklahoma and surrounding areas for 86 years. She attended McLoud and Harrah schools. Zenobia married Ralph M. White on September 12, 1934. They were married for 71 years. Together they managed a successful vegetable farm and market for over 40 years. Generous in their contributions to the community and church, they gave 2 acres to the Senior Citizens to build the Harrah Senior Citizen Center and part of their land was developed into a nursing center and senior housing. Zenobia was preceded in death by her parents, M. H. and Fronia Koonce; one daughter, Helen Pitman; 2 brothers, M. H. Koonce and W. R. Koonce; a sister-in-law, Betty Koonce and two brother-in-laws, Sid Terry and Joe Dye. Survivors include her husband, Ralph M. White, Harrah; 4 daughters & 3 sons-in-law, Carolyn & Theodore Willis, Elk City, Truman Pitman, Miami, OK. Shirley & John Frost, McLoud, Judy White, Colorado, Bette Davies, Colorado; 6 sisters & 5 brothers-in law, Christine Terry, Edmond, Rachel & Robert Skorkowsky, Harrah, Clara & Herman Fulgraf, Edmond, Esther Ruth & Leon Fugate, Midwest City, Wilma & Bishop Wadsworth, Cookson, Mary & Lloyd McCarty, Muskogee; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 31, 2005, at the Harrah United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Donations in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to the Angelic Family Hospice, 421 N. Beard, Shawnee, OK 74801 or the Harrah United Methodist Church Building Fund. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
