Zack Rye Fennel, Jr., was born on March 23, 1932, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, December 2, 2006, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 74. Zack, the son of Zack Rye and Mamie Alice Riggs Fennel, was a resident of Shawnee. Zack graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1950. He served his country with the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was married to the former Loretta Mae Cope for 21 years. Zack was a truck driver and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the VFW, and was a Teamster. Zack loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family. He also enjoyed attending the Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico every year. His parents; one son, James Brent Fennel; and his former wife, Loretta, preceded Zack in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Zackary Scott and Sherry Fennel of Bethany; daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona and John Davis of Oklahoma City, Jaretta and Lonnie Morrow of Weatherford, Janette Fennel of Moore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Smith of Prague, Mary and Bill Bigham of Edmond, Bobbie and Don Gaston of Chilton, TX; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and special friend, Sue Thomas of Shawnee.
