Winnie Elizabeth Hawkins, Midwest City, OK, age 88, was born on May 9, 1922, in Mill Creek, OK. She was the daughter of William A. & Tula C. Quinton. She departed this life on Monday, November 15, 2010, in Prague, OK. Winnie was an upholsterer who made oil rig tarps. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Glen A. Rice, Sr. and Charles Hawkins, one brother, Woodrow Quinton, four sisters, Ellen, Helen, Imogene and Leota, one daughter, Glenda Bishop and one son, Oak Rice. Survivors include 3 sons & daughter-in-law, Danny Rice, Prague, OK, Terry Wayne Rice, Fontana, CA, Glen A. & Barbara Rice, Fontana, CA; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Janice & Charles McEntire, Norman, OK, Betty & Freddie Haynes, Earlsboro, OK; 3 sisters,Maggie Pittman, Mill Creek, OK, Winzola Bray, Tishomingo, OK, Viola Seely, Sulphur, OK; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
