Wilma Jean Stone

Wilma Jean Stone was born on February 24, 1929, in Paden, Oklahoma, and passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Wilma, the daughter of Burl and Viola Mae (Jaggars) Prevett, married J. L. Stone on May 18, 1946, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They lived in Prague since 1957. She worked at various places in the area but 32 years of her working life was spent with Parks Brothers Hardware and later, Parks Brothers Funeral Home. She really enjoyed her relationship with the Parks family. Wilma was active with various civic groups including P.E.O., Square Dance Club, Eastern Star, and Business Professional Women (BPW). She was a 50 year member of the Prague United Methodist Church. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband J. L. Stone, her parents, brothers Ulis Ed Prevett and Glen I. Prevett and niece Marlene Martin. Survivors include her brother and his wife Roy and Donna Prevett of Prague; nieces Linda and Bob Goss of Dothan, AL, Lisa and Bob Schwartz of Coshocton, OH, Anita and Lonnie Smith of Dallas, TX, and Charlene and Rick Ernest of Oklahoma, City; nephew Larry and Debra Prevett of Bisbee, AZ; grand nieces and nephews Eric Gross, Elizabeth Gross, Amy Aita, Sarah McCaslin, Mark White, Codi Brown and David Schwartz; other family include Bobbie and Roy Hilburn of Bristow, Clyde and Thung Stone, Loyd and Darla Stone of Manhattan, KS, and, her close friend, Diana Srader. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at First United Methodist Church in Prague with Lonnie Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery.
