Wilma Irene Merritt

Wilma Irene Merritt, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on February 13, 1919, in Davenport, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 2, 2013, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years. Irene was the daughter of George F. and Birdie I. (Vickers) Bay. She was married to Paul Merritt. Irene worked as a linotype operator in the newspaper business for many years. She was of member of the First United Methodist Church in Cushing, Oklahoma. Her parents, husband, one step-son , two sisters and a nephew preceded Irene in death. Survivors include, daughter-in-law, Sandy Merritt of Tulsa, Oklahoma. grandsons, Darren and wife Christie Merritt of Texas and their daughter Hannah, and Kendal Merritt, North Dakota. Three nieces, Kay Kalka of Chandler, Oklahoma, Sue Lane of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Connie Cindle of Tulsa, Oklahoma,. other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler, with Lynn Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
