William Robert "Bill" Hinkle

William Robert 'Bill' Hinkle, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born June 28, 1933, in Carney, Oklahoma. He departed this life on March 19, 2019, at the age of 85 years. Bill was the son of Perry and Virgie (Koonce) Hinkle. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1951. Bill served in the United States Army. He married Ellen Marie Hedges, and later in life he married Alma Grace Lee. Bill was a charter member of the Chandler Friends Church. He was a good's trader, didn't really matter what the goods were, he just loved the art of the trade. Bill will be greatly missed. His parents, Perry & Virgie; wife, Alma; two sisters, Noralee & Carolyn; one son-in-law, Mike Payne; and one great-grandson, Christopher Daniel preceded Bill in death. Survivors include one daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Ron Simpson of Midwest City, Oklahoma; one son & daughter-in-law, William Don & Kim Hinkle of Wellston, Oklahoma; one sister & brother-in-law, Phyllis & Ron Brasel of Chandler; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Robert, Patrick, Chad, and Traci; eight great-grandchildren, Allison, Cohen, Bryson, Charleigh, Rae, Conner, Lex and Grant; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Chandler Friends Church with Rev. Dustin Lampe officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma. The Hinkle family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 21, 2019 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
