William Junior Leister

William Junior Leister was born on December 10, 1934, in Payson, Oklahoma and departed this life on Friday, November 1, 2013, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. Bill, the son of William Roy and Opal (Gouker) Leister, was a resident of Meeker. Bill married his first wife, Nelda Jean, in Fresno, California on July 17, 1964. They were married until her death on May 28, 1996. He then married Josephine on September 6, 1997. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a paint contractor for over 45 years. He was a member of Blackburn Chapel in Shawnee and a member of the Royal Rangers. Bill loved to travel, San Francisco being one of his favorite cities to visit. His parents, first wife, Nelda Jean, and grandson, Robert Lee Leister, preceded Bill in death. Survivors include: his wife, Josephine Leister of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Brenda Leister of Meeker; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann and Wayne Winter of Meeker; grandchildren, Trennis and Hannah Leister of Meeker, Travis Leister of Shawnee, and Brandi Leister of Meeker; other relatives and friends.
