William H Huffines

April 9, 1950 — April 2, 2006

William ?Bill? H. Huffines, Choctaw, OK, was born on April 9, 1950, in Carrollton, Illinois, the 4th child of H.L and Gwen Davis Huffines. He departed this life on April 2, 2006, in Choctaw, OK, at the age of 55. Bill is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pam; two daughters, Chelsea Coker of Choctaw, OK, Emily Huffines of Newalla, OK; both parents who presently reside in Branson, MO; two brothers, John Huffines of Tulsa, OK, Butch Huffines of Granite City, MO; two sisters, Wendy Luttrell of Lanett, AL, Regi Grodie of Bridgeton, MO; two grandsons, Austin Coker and his little brother on the way and many other friends and relatives. Bill and Pam were self-employed for 18 years, owning Huffy Bldg. Co., Inc. They built thousands of steel carports and patio covers in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas. He strived to have the best product out there, and with the number of referrals, it is evident that he had succeeded. Along this 18 year journey, many friends were made within that successful business. In 2000, Bill and Pam bought five acres next to their oldest daughter, Chelsea and her husband, Greg and they built homes there at the same time. Bill loved spring bonfires, listening to his favorite music, and summers by the pool. Some of his fondest memories were made there. He enjoyed those times with his grandson, Austin, as well. Bill enjoyed visiting the Eufaula Lake house with son-in-law, Greg and family. Many days were spent boating and fishing with many fish fries to follow. He was a handy type man always tinkering with the lawnmowers and tractors in order to make the acreages look their best. In his daughters young years, he never missed their fast-pitch softball games. As a father, he was supportive and eager for them to succeed always pushing them to do their best. As a grandfather, you could not have asked for a better buddy for Austin. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice Quality Care or the Huffines Donation Fund at Chase Bank. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2006, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Warren Huffines officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
