William George Brauer

William George ?Bill? Brauer was born in Prague, Oklahoma on November 17, 1930 and departed this life at his home north of Prague on January 1, 2006. He was 75 years of age. Bill was the son of George Max Brauer and Alma Selma Heinzig Brauer and had been a resident of Prague all of his life. He graduated from Prague High School. He married Betty Jean Pierson in Stroud, Oklahoma on January 30, 1953. He retired from the Allied Roofing plant in Stroud where worked as maintenance supervisor. He was also a farmer and rancher and enjoyed woodworking as his passionate hobby. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Brauer, of the home; daughter & son-in-law, Ladonna & Rob Landrum, Claremore, OK; 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Glen & Paula Brauer, Prague, Roger & Dorothy Brauer, Stroud, Robert & Sherry Brauer, Lamar, OK; two sisters, Clara Brauer, Prague, and Helen Hand, Prague; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
