William Clifford Judd, 85 years old, departed this life on April 2, 2006, following a battle with melanoma cancer of the brain and lungs. W.C. was born on September 18, 1920, in Carney, OK, to Harry and Hattie Cypret Judd. He married Mary Lee on October 26, 1940, and they made their home in Meeker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Judd on February 1, 2002; his parents; two brothers, Earl Judd and Gene Judd; 2 sisters, Catherine Forbis and Lela Mullendore; and two great-grandsons, Brady and Luke Rattan. W.C. was an active member of Saint Michael?s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Meeker Round-up-Club, Square Dance Association of Oklahoma, Meeker Senior Citizens, and Veterans of Foreign War. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. During his working career he worked at Harp''s Hatchery in Shawnee, Emmitt Welch?s Dairy Farm, Ralph Sams Garage, and Tinker Air Force Base where he was a Jet Engine Inspector. After retiring from Tinker he was a Meeker School Bus driver. He was the caregiver for his wife, Mary, for two years while she battled pancreatic cancer. W.C. was a strong, hard-working man who set a great life example for his family. He will be missed more than words can say.
