William Clifford Judd

William Clifford Judd, 85 years old, departed this life on April 2, 2006, following a battle with melanoma cancer of the brain and lungs. W.C. was born on September 18, 1920, in Carney, OK, to Harry and Hattie Cypret Judd. He married Mary Lee on October 26, 1940, and they made their home in Meeker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Judd on February 1, 2002; his parents; two brothers, Earl Judd and Gene Judd; 2 sisters, Catherine Forbis and Lela Mullendore; and two great-grandsons, Brady and Luke Rattan. Survivors include 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Rose Annis and Melvin Mahannah of Webster, TX, Connie Cook of Meeker; 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford ?Butch? and Brenda Judd of Harrah, Bill and Carol Judd of Midwest City, Joe and Gloria Judd of Meeker, James ?Pete? and Telva Judd of Meeker; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, Misty and Stephen Hudspeth, Jace, Ty, and Preslie Johnson, Cole and Sara Hudspeth of Rosharon, TX; Michael and Mindy Mahannah, Ryan, Crystal, and Dylanne of Coral Springs, FL; David and Ginger Judd, Jade, Lincoln, Taira, and Shelby of Jones; Erin and Eric Cantrell and Hunter of Edmond; Shelly and Thom Sabine, Joe, Tristyn, Easton, and Alex of Kansas City, MO; Shannon and Erik Peterson, Blake, Heather, Millan, and Carson of Oklahoma City; Donnie Briggs and Devin of Oklahoma City; Sharissa and Jimmy Rattan, Seth and Silas of Meeker; Karen and Gary Harris, Payton Pierce and Garren Harris of Wichita, KS; Kevin and Lindsay Judd and Macy of Midwest City; Kim and Larry Blades, Ridge and Jordon of Meeker; Stacey and Scott Reynolds, Austin and Skyler of Meeker; Mindy and James Brown and Nathan of Meeker, Brittney and Brooke Brown of North Loop, NE; Kristi and Luke Miller and Maddie of Chandler; Chasitee and Chelsee Cook of Ada; Sarah Judd and Darius Norcott of Meeker, special friend, Patsy Ward of Sparks; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Charlene Judd of Vancouver, WA; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Pug Few of Fort Worth, TX; 1 sister-in-law, Tommye Judd of Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends; 2 daughters-in-law, Darlene Taylor of Newalla, Sharon Judd of Meeker; and 1 son-in-law, Terry Cook of Shawnee. W.C. was an active member of Saint Michael?s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Meeker Round-up-Club, Square Dance Association of Oklahoma, Meeker Senior Citizens, and Veterans of Foreign War. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. During his working career he worked at Harp''s Hatchery in Shawnee, Emmitt Welch?s Dairy Farm, Ralph Sams Garage, and Tinker Air Force Base where he was a Jet Engine Inspector. After retiring from Tinker he was a Meeker School Bus driver. He was the caregiver for his wife, Mary, for two years while she battled pancreatic cancer. W.C. was a strong, hard-working man who set a great life example for his family. He will be missed more than words can say.
