William Chester "Chet" Horne, Jr.

William C. ?Chet? Horne, Jr., 72, of Holdenville departed this life at Valley View Hospital on January 11, 2005 following a brief illness. Chet was the son of William Chester and Eva Mae Hawthorne Horne. He was born in Holdenville on May 29, 1932, and had been a resident of Holdenville all of his life. Following graduation from Holdenville High School, he entered the University Of Oklahoma where he earned his MBA. Chet was honorably discharged from the United States Army after attaining the rank of Captain and serving overseas in Europe for several years. He was certified real estate appraiser specializing in the appraisal of Sonic restaurant systems. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include two brothers & sisters in law, Bill & Twylah Horne, Ada, and Lee & Judy Horne, Ada; two nieces and their husbands, Jenonne & Ned Kessler, Edmond and Jeanetta & Steve Bagwell, Prague; three nephews, their wives and a fianc, Steve & Allison Horne, Ada, Jay & Kinda Horne, Ada, Bill Horne, Jr. & his fianc, Mandy Campbell, both of Ada; 4 great-nephews; 9 great-nieces; and many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Holdenville High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
