William Carrol Murray

William 'Bill' Carrol Murray was born on April 16, 1942, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and departed this life on Thursday, August 16, 2007, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Bill, the son of William Carrol and Pearl Ellen Burns Murray, was a resident of Prague, Oklahoma. He graduated from Enterprise High School in Brookhaven, Mississippi, attended Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, Copiah Lincoln Community College in Wesson, Mississippi, and received a Bachelor?s Degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He married Norma Lee Atyia on August 1, 1975, in Gainesville, Texas. Bill worked for Big Yank Corporation for 28 years, achieving the position of plant manager. For the past three years, he was employed by the Seminole Nation. At the time of his passing, he was the executive director of SNDA Seminole Nation Development Authority. He was a member of Calvary Way Church of Prague. Bill had a servant?s heart, was always giving and helping people, and was a wonderful family man. He loved to travel and play golf. His parents and one sister, Willine Gatlin, preceded Bill in death. Survivors include his wife, Norma Murray of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Murray Bullock of Brookhaven, MS, Susan and Ron Pinkerton of Ft. Worth, TX, Teresa and George Reich of Edmond, OK, Melissa and Johnny Weddle of Rockwall, TX, Betty and Roger Cunningham of Seminole, OK; grandchildren, Sloan, Jordan, and McKenna Bullock, Shayna and Chrissy Pinkerton, Monica and David Clifford, LeeAnna Reich, Sunny Weddle, Ryne and Harrison Hoey. The family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, August 19, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM, at Calvary Way Church in Prague with Rev. Starland Davis, Bro. Charles McGregor, Sister Shirley Beverly, Rev. Sean Pease officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. 601 833-6961
