William "Bill" Mccomas

William Paul 'Bill' McComas, long-time Agra, Oklahoma, resident was born February 22, 1951, in Norman, Oklahoma, and departed this life on May 30, 2018, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 67 years. Bill was the son of William and Stephanie (Andreyko) McComas. He attended school in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and in 1969 he was selected for the Oklahoma All State Football Team. After graduation he played football at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, and Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. Bill married Velma Jean Braden on December 30, 1972 in Edmond, Oklahoma. He worked for the United States Forest Service for short time, and was currently employed at National American Insurance Company in Chandler, as a Departmental Claims Manager. Bill married Jane Anne Sprawls on June 26, 2015, in Agra, Oklahoma. He was a long-time member and deacon at the Chandler First Baptist Church. Bill enjoyed ranch life, his horses and cattle, watching Oklahoma State Cowboy football, working out in the mornings, and good cup of coffee. His parents, and first wife Velma preceded Bill in death. Survivors include his wife Jane Anne of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Jane McComas of Omaha, Nebraska; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Jim LaBorde of Saratoga, Wyoming, Brittney and Darrell Herrmann of Chandler, Oklahoma; one step-son, Forrest Terry of Agra; eight grandchildren, Hadley, Evelyn, Joseph, Lane, Ellie, Claire, Will and Brady; other relatives and many friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Oklahoma Blood Bank, or the MDS Foundation, or to the Agra Public Schools Athletic Department. Bill's family will be receiving friends and family at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel on Sunday, June 3, 2018, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow at Parkland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
