Wilbur Gene Glasgow was born on February 15, 1934, in Carmen, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Gene, the son of Fred and Gertrude (Thatcher) Glasgow, was a resident of Paden. He graduated from Maud High School in 1952. Gene married Joyce Glasgow on March 22, 1958. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was also a pipe fitter and a member of the Pipe Fitters Union for over 33 years. His parents, one brother and three sisters preceded Wilbur in death. Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Joyce Glasgow of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Chip Robberson of Arcadia; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Emma Glasgow of Asher and Jerry and Jan Glasgow of Guthrie; 5 grandchildren, Christy, Jeromy, Rebecca, Daniel and Hubert; 4 great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Kaullin and Laceigh; numerous nieces and nephews; other family and friends. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Paden Cemetery in Paden with Bro. Bryan Logan and Pastor Chad Bernard officiating.
