Wesley T. "Wes" Watkins

Wesley T. 'Wes' Watkins was born on October 31, 1915, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, March 31, 2012, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 96. Wes, the son of S. V. and Florence (Ellis) Watkins, was a resident of the Keokuk Falls area most of his life. He married Alma Stockton on August 29, 1941, in Okemah, Oklahoma. She preceded Wes in death on December 31, 2004. He worked as a heavy equipment operator. His parents, four brothers, and two sisters, also preceded Wes in death. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Kay Thomas of Prague, Kianna and Mike Kubicek of Shawnee, Regina and Gregg Wagner of Prague, and Barbara and Colin Crawford of Clanton, AL; sisters Myrtlle Shivers of Stratford, Lila Jan Miller of Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren, Monty and Lisa Stewart of Prague, Tamela and Jay Minor of Clanton, AL, Cary and Sheri Crawford of Kennewick, WA, Jeremie and Kelly Jubicek of Johns Creek, GA, Kim and Tim McCoy of Prague, and Jessica and Jarrod Mathews of Byers; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The Watkins family will receive friends on Monday evening, April 2, 2012, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Parks Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole County.
