Wendalyn “Wendy” Mae Bennett of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in her home on November 29, 2022. She was a sweet, kind, loving person who was loved by everyone. Wendy was born on July 27, 1962, to Myron and Myrtle Emmons in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended Paden Schools until she was a Junior in high school, then moved to Stroud in 1980, and graduated from Stroud High School in 1981. Wendy worked at the Prague Nursing Home in the laundry department for many years until she retired.
She married the love of her life, Danny Bennett, of Prague, OK, in 2000, and the couple resided there until she passed. Although she had no children of her own, Wendy had numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was a member of the Prague Church of Christ. Wendy was a faithful Christian and enjoyed participating in church functions
Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Gilbert.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Danny Bennett of Prague, OK; father and stepmother, Myron and Teresa Emmons of Horton, KS; brothers and their spouses, Myron and Becky Emmons of Stroud, OK; Paul and Nita Emmons of Stroud, OK; sisters and their spouses, Becky and Mark Tuttle of Stroud, OK; Janet and Jeff Niemann of Stroud, OK; sister, Summer Hogue of Stroud, OK; numerous nieces and nephews, a loving extended family and countless friends.
A memorial service was held for Wendy Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Prague Church of Christ. The family would like to thank those who were able to attend. Additionally, we would like to thank everyone for the generous donations toward Wendy’s funeral expenses.
