Wayne Raper

Wayne Edward Raper was born on September 17, 1939, in Lake Village, Indiana, and departed this life on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at his home in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 72 years. Wayne was the son of Lloyd and Mildred (Swartz) Raper. He married Karen Bevins on August 26, 1961 at Crown Point, Indiana. Wayne moved his family from Momence, Illinois to Chandler, Oklahoma in the summer of 1982 and was a truck driver for many years. His parents and one son, Mark preceded Wayne in death. Survivors include wife Karen of the home, two sons and daughter-in-law, David Raper of Chandler and Jeff & Amanda Raper of Chandler, one daughter, Debbie Raper of Chandler and one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Raper of Chandler. One brother, Paul Raper of Illinois and one sister, Clara Raper of Springfield, Missouri. Five Grandchildren, Josh Raper, Jacob Raper, Jaxton Raper, Hayden Raper, Emersyn Raper. Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Rick Blackwell and Rev. Keith Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
