Wanemah Edge

Wanemah Louise Edge, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born February 1, 1956, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, she departed this life on March 5, 2019, in Shawnee, at the age of 63 years. Wanemah was the daughter of Richard B. and Peggy (Faulkner) Johnson. She married Samuel Edge on September 27, 2013, in Chandler. Wanemah had numerous jobs over the years including, National American Insurance, Gilbert & Sons Trucking, American National Bank, and Shawnee Chamber of Commerce. She loved interior design and 'fixing things up'. The sun was always shining when Wanemah was in the room, she will be greatly missed. Her grandparents, and father preceded Wanemah in death. Survivors include her husband Sam of the home; mother, Peggy of Chandler, Oklahoma; one son, Adam of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Jr. and Sue Kinsey of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Mike and Mitzi Johnson of San Antonio, Texas, and David Johnson of North West Montana; five grandchildren; close dear friends, Danita and Monte DeBord, and Suzanne and Jack Helm; other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, with Pastor Keith Cole officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
