On September 21, 2020 Wanda Jean (Sturmon) Salmon, Coleman found her peace and joined many family members and friends in heaven. She was born October 2, 1927 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She grew up in and around Prague, Oklahoma. She was one of seven children of Floyd and Georgie Sturmon. She raised four children; Frank, Cheryl, Jeanie and Steve with Obie Salmon in Tehachapi, California. They shared 53 years together. Throughout her life, she lived between Oklahoma and California and four years in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho near son Frank and daughter Jeanie. Later in life she made a full circle by moving back to Prague, Oklahoma where she married Kenneth Coleman. They shared 6 years together. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; Floyd and Georgie (Collins) Sturmon, first husband; Obie Salmon of 53 years, second husband; Kenneth Coleman of 6 years, son; Frank Salmon, grandson; Butch Salmon, Step-sons; Donald and Richard Coleman, brothers; Roy and Kenneth Sturmon, and sisters; Ethel Carson, Melba Ogbrun, Ina Burney and Alene Wooley. She is survived by her children; Cheryl Dunn of Chandler AZ, Jeanie Hobbs of Coeur d’ Alene ID, Steven Salmon of Searcy AR, stepdaughter; Jerri Sue Julian of Choctaw OK. Six grandchildren, thirteen step-grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and brother-in-law; Jim Salmon of Delano, CA. She was a wonderful mother, but her pure joy in life was being an amazing GRAMS to her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered with smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts.
