Wanda “Janie” Clayton passed away on September 14, 2020 at the age of 93. Janie was born in Stroud, Oklahoma to Clell and Una English. Known as one in a family of five girls, Thelma Kathleen Russell, Ann Harris, Jo Bond, Clella Satterfield, and Judy Odell, she was raised on a farm where milking cows was not her forte. It was in Stroud where Janie met her husband, William Riley Clayton, of over 68 years. Military life brought them to El Paso, Texas, where they lived for over 40 years, raising their daughter Debra Krasinski and son Mark Clayton (Leah). Janie loved completing cryptic puzzles, reading romance novels, cooking and crafting. She was a master seamstress and quilter who hand stitched over 10 intricate quilts. Janie is survived by her two children, seven grandchildren, Kathryn (Brian Wygal), Anna (Simon Wraight) and Stephanie (David Murilli), Cory (Sarah), Rebecca, Michael, Kevin and 10 great grandchildren. She was a giving, independent women who wrapped her family in a quilt of love.
