Wanda Gibson

March 12, 1925 — July 14, 2014

Wanda Gibson, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on March 12, 1925, in Webb City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on July 14, 2014, at her home in Chandler, at the age of 89 years. Wanda was the daughter of Floyd and Meddie (LaGrange) Bushey. She served in the United States Army. Wanda married Ed Gibson on March 23, 1953, in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker Her parents, husband, one daughter, one son, one sister, two grandsons, and two brothers preceded Wanda in death. Survivors include, one son, Dale Gibson of Chandler; three daughters, Gina Alford of Chandler, Hattie Carney of Wichita, Kansas, and Pamela Tate of Florida; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
