Wanda F. Burgess

Wanda Faye Burgess, Davenport, Oklahoma, resident, was born on March 17, 1935, in Tribby, Oklahoma, and departed this life on June 27, 2005, at her home in Davenport, at the age of 70 years. Wanda was the daughter of William Q. and Lila Mae Reeves Robinson. She lived her life in and around the Davenport area where she married Joe Burgess, April 19, 1951, and raised three children. The Burgess family has impacted many lives and left a lasting impression throughout the Davenport area. Wanda enjoyed visiting with her family and friends while participating in arts and crafts, playing bingo, and collecting chickens. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Davenport, as well as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star- Prague Chapter # 127. Her parents and husband; Joe Burgess, preceded Wanda in death. Survivors include; Two sons & daughter-in-law: Joe & Marlene Burgess of OKC, OK; Eddie Burgess of Kendrick, OK; One daughter & son-in-law: Sherry & Terry Dennis of Madill, OK; Four Granddaughters:Keri Dennis of Lawton, OK; Kristy Burgess of Sand Springs, OK; Jamie Burgess of Stillwater, OK; J.J. Dennis of Madill, OK; One brother & sister-in-law:Paul & Suzie Robinson of Arkansas City, KS; One sister: Mildred Tate of Bridge City, LA. Other brothers & sisters-in-law, numerous nieces & nephews, other relatives and many friends.
