Wanda E Rockwell

Wanda E. Butler Rockwell, age 74, was born on March 7, 1930, in Oklahoma City, OK, and she departed this life on Saturday, January 15, 2005, in Oklahoma City, OK. Wanda was the daughter of Gilbert & Florence Burres Butler. In 1948, she graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City. She worked for civil service at Tinker AFB and the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Wanda loved music and played and taught piano. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants as she had a green thumb. She did knitting, crochet and in recent years, enjoyed the computer and internet. She also loved her best cat, Mr. Boots. Wanda was known as Kitty Grandma. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank R. Rockwell. Survivors include 1 son & daughter-in-law, Charles & Lorie Rockwell, Choctaw, OK; 1 sister & brother-in-law, Marcheta & Bob Slagle, Newalla, OK; 3 grandchildren, Adam Rockwell, Regina & Marc Layland, Audrey Rockwell. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Jimmy Holbrook officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
