W. H. Jack Williams, Jr.

November 30, 1928 — January 4, 2006

W. H. 'Jack' Williams, Jr., was born on November 30, 1928, in Paden, OK, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, in Grand Junction, CO, at the age of 77. Jack, the son of W. H. and Laurah E. Green Williams, was a resident of Fruita, CO. He served in the United States Navy and the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Jack was awarded the Purple Heart during World War II. He loved to play his fiddle and harmonica. His parents, two sisters, and two brothers preceded Jack in death. Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law Gene and Shirley Williams of Seminole, Bill Williams of Wewoka, Max and Darlene Williams of Okmulgee Paul and Sue Williams of Stroud; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Harvey Mayfield of Paden, Mary and Bill Davis of Prague, Jessie Vaughan of Norman, Shirley and Bobby Goble of Oklahoma City, Sue and Larry Bigbie of Norman, Lois and Greg Gates of Longview, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
