Vivian "Opal" Hampton

Vivian “Opal” Hampton was born on September 30, 1923, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on September 7, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Opal, the daughter of Arthur and Dee Passmore, was a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She married George Wilson Hampton on June 22, 1941, in Meeker, Oklahoma. She was a secretary at U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Ed and sister, Norma Lee. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Terry “Mickey” and Penny Hampton of Oklahoma City; daughters and son-in-law, Annette Williams of Oklahoma City, and Lisa and Roland Lambeth of Dallas, Texas, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 1:30 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague, Oklahoma with Pastor Josh Leu officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
