Virginia Waters

Virginia Jean Waters was born March 7, 1935, in Davenport, OK, and departed this life on May 3, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK after a brief illness. Virginia the daughter of Alfred Parks and Mildred Leona (Townsley) Waters was a long-time resident of Davenport. She was homemaker and a member of Davenport First Christian Church, Davenport Senior Citizens, and Ladies Aid. Her parents, five brothers, A. P. Waters, Jr., Sam Waters, Kenneth Waters, Daniel (Breezy) and Billy Ray Waters, two sisters, Lois Bromley, Patricia Lee Waters, and one niece Jill Ann Waters preceded Virginia in death. She is survived by two sisters, Betty Grimm of Caldwell, KS, and Anna Lou Swann of Davenport, OK, one sister-in-law Betty Waters of Davenport, eleven nieces and nephews, twenty-six great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Davenport Senior Citizens Building Fund. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, May 6, 2011, at Davenport First Christian Church with Minister Ron Keeling officiating. Burial will follow at New Zion Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
