Virginia L. Bishop

Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, Virginia Lee Bishop, was born on October 10, 1921, in Agra, Oklahoma, and departed this life on July 15 2006, in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years. Virginia was the daughter of Walter ?Buck? and Margaret House Gillaspy. Virginia graduated from Chandler High School in 1939. She later married Troy O. Bishop on August 22, 1942, while Troy was in the Army at Fort Lewis, Washington. During her career, Virginia worked in the offices of the Court Clerk, County Clerk and County Commissioners of Lincoln County and retired after 32 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler and of the VFW Auxiliary. Her parents and two brothers also preceded Virginia in death. Survivors include husband Troy Bishop of the home, son & daughter-in-lawGary & Jonnie Sue Bishop of Chandler and three Grandchildren Wallecia Bishop, Teresa Cudd, Gary Wayne Bishop. Other relatives and many friends.
