Virginia L. Benedix

Virginia was born on April 17, 1912, in Strawn, Texas, and departed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2005, in Harrah, OK, at the age of 93. Virginia, the daughter of Stash and Eva Branski Klotz, was a resident of Harrah. She moved to Harrah with her family in 1920. Virginia married Charles Benedix on September 17th 1932 in Chandler, Oklahoma. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters and Altar Society at St Teresa''s Catholic Church in Harrah. She worked for the Harrah School system for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and was a great cook. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; 2 brothers, Ed Klotz and Joseph Klotz; and 1 sister, Josephine Russell. Survivors include 1 son & daughter-in-law, Richard & Joyce Benedix, Harrah, OK; 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Charlotte & Paul Nickel, Harrah, OK, Dora Lee & Bud Kusek, Harrah, OK, Janet & Jack Martin, Harrah, OK; 2 brothers, Bill Klotz, Texas, Bernie Klotz, Washington; 1 sister,Polly Lane, Harrah, OK; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm with Wake to follow Monday, April 25, 2005, at St. Teresa?s Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 10:00 A.M., at St. Teresa''s Catholic Church in Harrah, OK, with Father Alan Loth officiating. Interment will follow at St. Teresa''s Catholic Cemetery in Harrah, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
