Virgie Edith Blaney

Virgie Edith Blaney, long-time Davenport, Oklahoma, resident, was born on December 9, 1910, in Stroud, Oklahoma, and departed this life in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on November 10, 2007, at the age of 96 years Virgie was the daughter of William L. and Rosa Lee Blalock Clark. She married George W. Blaney, on June 21, 1928, in Chandler, Oklahoma. She was a home maker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Davenport, Oklahoma. Her parents, husband, one son, six sisters, one brother, and one grandchild preceded Virgie in death. Survivors include, Daughter, Elois Flanagan of Shawnee, OK, Brother, Jimmy L. Clark of Davenport, OK, Five grandchildren, Twelve great-grandchildren, Numerous great-great-grandchildren, Other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, 2:00 P.M., at Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
