Violet Faye Hoots, former Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born September 11, 1923, in Perkins, Oklahoma, and departed this life February 11, 2016, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years. Violet was the daughter of Bert and Jennie (Davis) Stanton. She was married to Guy Adams, and after his death she married Harry Hoots. Violet worked as a nurse and school teacher locally for many years. She was the past National Commander for the DAV. Her parents, two husbands, one sister, two brothers, and one granddaughter, Jackie Jones; preceded Violet in death. Survivors include, one daughter, Barbara Adams of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Trisha Mae Mosley, and Curtis Jackson Mosley; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Forest Cemetery, south of Chandler, with Dr. Paul Coffey officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
