Vernon G. Statton

Vernon G. Statton, Meeker, Oklahoma, resident, was born on July 16, 1921, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and departed this life on August 17, 2006, in Shawnee, at the age of 85 years. Vernon was the son of David W. and Clara E. Graham Statton. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Vernon married Betty L. McDaniel on July, 26, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked many years at Tinker Air Force Base as a Branch Chief. Vernon was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Meeker. His parents, wife, one daughter and two brother preceded Vernon in death. Survivors include, Two sons, David Statton of Edmond, OK, Fred Statton of Meeker, OK, Three daughters, Veta Statton of Choctaw, OK, Vernadine Wages of Meeker, OK, Norma Henson of Oklahoma City, OK, One Sister, Louvenia Ardey of Oklahoma City, OK, Five brothers, Tommy Statton of Oklahoma City, OK, Everette Statton of Lebanon, Oregon, Lloyd Statton of Cleora, OK, Marion Statton of Cleora, OK, Earl Statton of Moore, OK, 10 Grandchildren. 6 Great-grandchildren. 1 Great great-grandchild.
