Verlin Frost was born on October 2, 1911, in Arnett, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, May 26, 2007, in Rossville, Oklahoma, at the age of 95. Verlin, the eighth of nine children was born to John and Fluella Beam Frost, and came to Lincoln County in a covered wagon at the age of five. He often shared the story of that journey, the cold weather and the whole family sleeping in the wagon trying to keep warm. Verlin started his business career operating Rossville Grocery and hauling cream, eggs, pork and cattle to Oklahoma City for local farmers. He married Opal Elizabeth Moulin in Edmond, OK on September 14, 1931. Most of his business career and life were spent in Lincoln County operating several successful businesses. He bought and sold land and peaked with 2, 000 acres and 250 head of cattle. Verlin lived in the same home he and Opal had built more than 50 years ago. Verlin was preceded in death by his parents, all eight brothers and sisters, his wife of 67 years, Opal, and one grandson, Todd Frost. Verlin commented many times: ?I have seen more changes in my lifetime than any generation in all of history?. Verlin is the last of his generation and leaves behind: Daughter and son in law: M.
