Vera Mae Kerby-Snawder

Vera Mae Tower Kerby-Snawder was born on March 22, 1920, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, January 17, 2008, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Vera, the daughter of Charles Edward and Maggie Jane Sturmon Tower, was a life-long resident of Lincoln County. She worked for Parks Brothers Funeral Service for many years. Vera was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Charles Edgar Kerby, Vernon Collins, and Elden Snawder; her parents; one brother; and one sister. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Dianne Kerby of Prague; grandchildren and their spouses, Skyler and Sandy Kerby of Houston, TX, Chad and Vineta Kerby of Stroud; great-grandchildren, Kelby, Wyatt, Cody, and Abby Kerby; sister, Charlene Cox. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
