Velma Ruth Kubiak

Velma R. Kubiak, 78, San Antonio, TX, formerly of Oklahoma City, OK, was born February 21, 1935, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of David & Edith Ann LaSota. She left this life on October 26, 2013, in San Antonio, TX. Velma married Tommie Joe 'Tim' Kubiak on September 15, 1956, in Oklahoma City, OK. She worked as a secretary at Hughes, Hughes and Bell. She loved to sew, crochet and play bridge. In her years of retirement, Velma loved to fish with her husband, Tim. Almost three years ago, she moved to San Antonio, to be closer to her daughter’s family, Jennifer, Darin, Parker and Lauren. She loved attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Elizabeth Ann. She is survived by her son, Tim Kubiak, Oklahoma City, OK; daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer & Darin Anderson, San Antonio, TX; 2 grandchildren, Parker & Lauren Anderson, San Antonio, TX and many other relatives and friends. Rosary at 6:40 PM and Wake services will be held 7:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2013, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 9, 2013, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK, with Father Prakash Madineni officiating. Interment to follow at St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
