Vance Edwin Crowe, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born February 11, 1938, in Berryville, Arkansas, and departed this life May 14, 2016, in Missoula, Montana, at the age of 78 years. Vance was the son of Richard and Iva (Meadors) Crowe. He married Aimee Jones on August 25, 1960, in Montgomery, Alabama. Vance was a student of the Bible. He loved to preach and teach God's word. Vance worked with youth for many years: manager of Pettijohn Springs Christian Camp in Madill, Oklahoma for twelve years, director of Camp Blue Haven in Las Vegas, New Mexico for seventeen years. When springtime was near he started tilling the soil for his garden, planting more than he needed for his family, as he enjoyed sharing it with friends and neighbors. Vance never wanted to discard broken or damaged items - he had a determination to make them useful again. Vance was a friend and mentor to many, no matter the age. He rarely met a stranger! His parents, preceded Vance in death.
