Uman "Don" Donal Pewitt

Uman Donal “Don” Pewitt was born on April 10,1933, in Franklin, TN, and departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2017, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Don, the son of John Anderson and Bessie Augusta (Hotsinpillar) Pewitt, was a resident of Prague. When Don was 18 he moved to Oklahoma. Don married Linda Kay Childress on October 13, 1977. He worked for 41.5 years for Wilson Foods. Don was a farmer and enjoyed working with cattle, fishing, hunting, bowling (receiving several trophies), and coon hunting. He was also a handyman. Don’s parents, three sisters, three brothers and first wife, Dorothy Ann Circle preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Linda Pewitt of the home; sons, Terry Pewitt of Elgin, Donnie Pewitt of Chickasha and Jerry Pewitt and wife, Melissa of Prague; daughters, JoAnna Patterson and husband Perry of Ft. Cobb an Donna Williams of Prague; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; special nephews, Raymond, Joel and Norman Jr. (Buddy) Pewitt and many other family and friends. The Pewitt family will receive friends on Thursday, December 14, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Pastor Kevin Wehrli officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
