Ulysses Taylor

Ulysses Taylor was born on September 17, 1943, in Stroud, OK, and departed this life on Thursday, February 10, 2011, in Chandler, OK, at the age of 67 years. Ulysses, the son of Leslie and Quoner (Beaird) Taylor, was a long-time resident of Chandler. He married Bonnie Armstrong on June 27, 1964, in Chandler. Ulysses worked for Phillips Petroleum Company as a manager on the Tuner Turnpike for 35 years. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Chandler. His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded Ulysses in death. Survivors include wife of 46 years, Bonnie of the home, one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Danette Taylor of Chandler, one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Otis Bruner of Shawnee, OK, two brothers John & Velma Taylor of Chandler, Louis Taylor of San Angelo, TX, three grandchildren, and one God great-granddaughter, Zayah, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 14, 2011, at Douglas Community Center in Chandler with Rev. James Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
