Tyler Shane 'Duck' McWhorter, life-long Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born July 16, 1989, in Edmond, Oklahoma, he departed this life April 21, 2016, at the age of 26 years. Tyler was the son of Mike and Kim McWhorter, and Deana (Helm) McWhorter. He graduated from Chandler High School in 2008. Tyler was a Aircraft Mechanic for the B-1 Bomber at Tinker Air Force Base. Preceding Tyler in death were his maternal grandparents, Bob and Lila Helm. Survivors include, his parents, Mike and Kim McWhorter of Chandler, and Deana (Helm) McWhorter of Chandler; one brother, Brett McWhorter of Guthrie, Oklahoma; two step-sisters, Jennifer Eye and Alicia Eye. Grandparents, Ray and Shirley McWhorter of Warwick, Oklahoma; fiance, Aubree Mathis of Chandler; other relatives and many friends. Duck was most at home on the dunes of Little Sahara. He loved his 4-wheelers riding, building and working on them. He was so proud and honored to get to work on one the world's greatest airplane the B-1. When younger he used to amaze his dad by the big bass he would pull out of the ponds while his dad caught none. He was blessed by his lifelong friends who experienced so much together. They loved him and he loved them. There's nothing one wouldn't do for the other. I know his Tinker co-workers feel the same. He was so lucky and blessed to have met and fell in love with Aubree. Their relationship was so special. Tyler was able to have lasting experiences with his lifelong friends because of Aubrees's love and trust. Tyler loved Aubree as she loved him. If there was one regret in Tyler's life it would be that they never married. Tyler has a special relationship with his Step-mother Kim and his step-sisters, Jennifer and Alisa. They were always sharing secrets and would talk for hours. Tyler and his dad were more than father & son, they were best friends. Words cannot describe how close they were. Duck's dad is so proud of the man Tyler became. Duck's life was tragically cut short but all of us can rest assured he lived his life to the fullest. He touched some many people in such a special way. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 25, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Rev.
