Troy James Swafford

TROY JAMES SWAFFORD, 39, of Wellston, OK was born on July 11, 1967 in Chandler, OK, the son of Virgil and Rosa Lee Burleson Swafford of Wellston, OK. He left this life for a better one on Thursday, June 21, 2007 after a battle with leukemia. A 1985 graduate of Wellston High School, Troy attended York College, Central State University UCO and Rose State College where he played basketball and earned an Associate in Arts degree. Troy married Tracey Robinson, the love of his life, in Midwest City, OK on August 3, 1991. A lifelong.resident of Wellston, he enjoyed farming, raising cattle and hunting the land around his home with his boys. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Troy was employed by ThyssenKrupp Elevator Company as an elevator technician. He was a member of the Int''l Union of Elevator Constructors Local No. 63 for ten years. Troy was a devoted husband, father and friend, he will be missed by many. He was a gentle giant with a generous heart matched only by his impressive stature. Troy is preceded in death by his grandfather Wilbert Burleson of Wellston, OK, Grandparents Jimmie and Johnnie Swafford of Chickasha, OK. He is survived by his wife Tracey, his sons Tyler, Taggart and Talon of the home. His parents Virgil and Rosa Lee Swafford, Wellston, OK, his grandmother Darlene Burleson, Wellston, OK, brother David Van Swafford, Chandler, OK, sister Sharon Swafford, Wellston, OK, five nieces and two nephews, many relatives and friends.
