Tommy Joe Stites

Tommy Joe Stites, age 74, of Shawnee, OK was born on July 16, 1939, in Cyril, OK. He was the son of Wayne William & Lucille (Laughlin) Stites. He left this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in Shawnee, OK. Tommy graduated from Harrah High School. He proudly served in the U. S. Army, in the 82nd Airborne. Tommy enjoyed playing the guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mark, brother, Bobby and sister, Kay. Survivors include 3 sons, Travis & Cheryl Stites, Lone Grove, OK, Gary Stites, Brownwood, TX, Lance Stites, Seattle, WA; daughter, Jennifer Jackson, Brownwood, TX; 2 brothers, Donald Stites, McLoud, OK, Larry Stites, Ardmore, OK; sister, Sue Frost, McLoud, OK; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2014, at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
