T. J. ?Tim? Kubiak of Eufaula, OK, formerly of Oklahoma City, passed from this earth into the loving arms of our Lord on November 7, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with ALS Lou Gehrigs Disease. Tim was born at home in Jones, Oklahoma on January 25, 1929 to Stanley and Rose Kubiak. Tim enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at age 17 and proudly served two tours of duty, one at the end of WWII and again during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed a career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1986 with 37+ years of loyal service. Tim & wife, Velma, then made their home on Lake Eufaula, where they could enjoy the company of their friends and all the great fishing. Tim loved life, people, kids, animals, fishing, tinkering in his workshop, helping a neighbor and visiting with just about anyone lucky enough to cross his path. Tim was known for his friendliness and ability to fix just about anything. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard ?Richie? Kubiak. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Velma; his two children, Tim Kubiak of Dallas, TX; and Jennifer Anderson & husband Darin & grandchildren Parker & Lauren of San Antonio, TX; brother Curt Kubiak and wife, Pearl of Spencer, OK; sisters, Rosemary Gordon & husband Jim of Del City, OK, Trudy Hurley of Del City, OK, Ann Jones & husband Ralph of Choctaw, OK and a host of nieces and nephews and their spouses, all of whom he loved dearly. So it is with heavy hearts that we all say a reluctant goodbye to a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend. Our family would like to thank everyone who stood beside us during this illness. Your kindness was truly a blessing from God.
