Thomas "Whitey" Mark Herzog

Thomas 'Whitey' Mark Herzog, age 53, of Harrah, OK, was born March 11, 1964, in Racine, Wisconsin. He was the son of Francis & Marie (Vollendorf) Herzog. He left this life on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, in Oklahoma City, OK, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas married Tamera Anne Nelson on July 11, 1998, at Tinker AFB, OK, after they met while both stationed at Aviano AB, Italy. He proudly served and retired from the U. S. Air Force in 2003. After retirement, he worked at Tinker AFB as the base wrecker driver. Thomas was a member of L.O.C.O. Locomotive Operators of Central Oklahoma, C.O.G.R.S. Central Oklahoma Garden Railroad Society and Sooner Jay Camping. His hobbies included golf, Gscale trains, baseball, especially his beloved Chicago Cubs and camping with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Herzog, Harrah, OK; 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Dustin & Katy Herzog, Oceanside, CA, Michael & Mary Herzog, Colorado Springs, Co, Jeffrey Herzog, Harrah, OK; daughter, Nicole Herzog, Harrah, OK; 2 brothers & sister-in-law, James & Gail Herzog, Racine, WI, Daniel Herzog, Racine, WI; 3 grandchildren, Maureen, Adelaide & Sebastian Herzog and many other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving friends from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Monday, April 17, 2017, at Asa Smith Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Rosary and wake will be 6:30 PM, Monday, April 17, 2017, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
