Thomas "Speedy" Leo Burghart

Thomas Leo 'Speedy' Burghart, age 69, of Newalla, OK was born on August 15, 1943, in Alameda, California. He was the son of Joseph & Veta (Rice) Burghart. He left this life on Friday, May 17, 2013, in Oklahoma City, OK. Tom proudly served in the U. S. Army. He was a plumber and a member of the Plumber & Pipefitters Union Local #344. He was also a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. His hobbies included welding, hunting and hosting big family & friends BBQ's. He loved his children, especially his grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, wife & mother of his children, Shirley Ann in 1996 and brothers, Billy & Joe Lee. Survivors include his wife, Patti Burghart, Newalla, OK; 2 daughters & son-in-law,Teresa & Don Gray, Mustang, OK, Cyndi & James Terral, Norman, OK; 2 step-daughters, Pam Davis, Oklahoma City, OK, Marsha Perez, Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Marilyn Taleghani, Oklahoma City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Michelle, Brittany & Tiffany; 2 great-grandchildren, Maddox & Gracie and many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2013, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK, with Father Mariyanandam Pulugujju officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
