Thomas Ray Edmonds was born in Woodstock, Alabama on March 3, 1945 to Isaac Thomas and Bertha Gertrude (Overesley) Edmonds. Thomas married Patricia JoAnn Ellison on January 14, 1965, in Stillwell, Oklahoma. They had no children but had many nieces and nephews they considered their children and many, many friends. Thomas was a member of the Aydelotte Church of Christ. Thomas worked in the construction business and also owned and operated a small sawmill east of Meeker. He loved working with horses, gardening, and selling fruit and vegetables in the Prague, Meeker, and Shawnee area. He truly loved his family and friends and they loved him. He will be missed by many. Thomas had family in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, and South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Myrtie Lou Blackwell of Prague, Roberta Browning and Flora Mae Crim, both of Talledega, Alabama, and Ruth Holland of Clarksville, Arkansas; two brothers, Joe Edmonds of Meeker and infant brother, Johnny Edmonds. Survivors include his wife of 46 years,Patricia JoAnn Edmonds of the home; sisters, Anna Merle Crim of Talledega, Alabama, Virginia Pessia of Leevilles, South Carolina; numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 2:00 PM, at Aydelotte Church of Christ in Shawnee with Elder Vernon L. Markwell and Elder Harold Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
