Thomas P. "Pat" Mcginnis

Pat McGinnis was born on May 30, 1941, in Earlsboro, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Pat, the son of Claud Albert and Beulah (Cleere) McGinnis, was a lifelong resident of Prague. He married Kathy Ann Hodges on March 1, 1960, in Prague. He graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1959. He worked for the water department in Del City, for ARKLA, and Bowman Auto Parts. He sold automobiles and was the top salesman for a Chevrolet dealer. He then worked as the County Commissioner from 1998 to 2010 when he retired. He was a long-time auto/convenience store operator. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Buck and John, sister, Willa Lou Jones Guinn, daughter, Cynthia McGinnis and granddaughter, Anna Olivia. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Pattie and Bob Reynolds of Prague, Susan and Michael Linn of Prague, Jeanne McGinnis of Prague, and her two sons, Matthew and Kyle Dougherty; nine additional grandchildren, Sara, Sally, Abby, Aftahn, Luke, Jake, Addey, Chad, and Candace; two great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Betty McGinnis of Prague, Richard and Imogene McGinnis of Spiro; sister, Nancy Traywick of Poteau; sister-in-law, Marcyln McGinnis of Prague; other family and friends. The McGinnis family will receive friends on Sunday, December 1, 2013, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church in Prague, with Brother Mike Haines and Brother Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
