Thomas Nolen 'Mule' Dervin was born in Milfay, Oklahoma on April 7, 1938 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Mule was the son of James Richard and Mable Blanche(Gamble) Dervin. He was a resident of Sapulpa formally of Stroud. He was a affiliated with the Assembly of God Church and retired from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority as gate attendant. He loved to spend time with his family he also liked to hunt and fish . He was a OU Sooner fan along with the Dallas Cowboy football team and Thunder Basketball. He married Earlene Moore on March 19, 1958 in Chandler. She preceded him in death on November 26, 1991. Thomas married Lucille Rippy April 20, 1992 in Miami, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Shorty, one sister Loma. Survivors include wife Lou of the home, two sons, Tommy Dervin & wife Karen of Stroud, Tommy Miller & wife Sherry of Henryetta, two daughters, Rhonda Dervin of Stroud, Lisa Patton & husband Lyndon of Stroud, one step son Rick Sloan of Tulsa, one step daughter, Sheila Russell of Tulsa, one brother, Jim Dervin of Stroud two sisters, Hazel McGuire of Drumright, Linda Berry of Arkansas, nine grandchildren, Dylan, Josh, Ryan, Taylor, Kasey Lee, Cameron, Angel, Lauren, and Maggie, eight great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Stroud on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeromye Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
