Thomas E. ?Tom? King, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on November 10, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, and departed this life on March 8, 2006, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 67 years. Tom was the son of Carl and Pearl Grogg King. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War where he was awarded a purple heart. Tom married Betty Shamblin, on November 20, 1982, in Dunbar, West Virginia. Tom was retired from General Motors, as a tool and die maker. He was a long time member of the American Legion. Tom attended the First Assembly of God Church in Chandler. His parents and two brothers preceded Tom in death. Survivors include, Wife, Betty King of the home, Two daughters & spouse, Tamra Withrow of Rockville, Maryland, Michelle & Otto Lippert of Kissimme, FL, Two sisters-in-law & spouse, Wanda King of Canton, OH, Carol & Carl Herdon of Chandler, 6 Grandchildren, 1 Great-grandchild, Numerous nieces & nephews, More relatives and many friends.
