Thomas Dwayne Garner

Thomas Dwayne Garner was born on June 26, 1971, in Talihina, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Waynesville, North Carolina, at the age of 36. Thomas, the son of Donald Ray and Jeffie Ann Thomas Garner, was a resident of Prague. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Persian Gulf War. Thomas was baptized at the Lebanon First Baptist Church. He worked for Judy Jones Trucking Company. His grandparents, Ted and Virgie Thomas and Ethel Garner preceded Thomas in death. Survivors include parents, Donald and Jeffie Garner of Prague; brothers and sister-in-law, James Garner of Tucson, AZ, Jimmy and Joey Garner of Seminole; grandfather, Ace Garner of Quinton, OK. The family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague on Tuesday, May 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at the West Liberty Cemetery in Quinton, Oklahoma on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dan Clifton officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
