Thelma Mae Bean

Thelma Mae Bean, live-long Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on January 28, 1927, in Chandler, and departed this life on Sunday, December 15, 2013, in Chandler at the age of 86 years. Thelma was the daughter of Dell and Merty (Boyd) Bean. She was the youngest of nine children. Thelma grew up in the Rocksprings Community of Chandler. She worked for a local garment factory and restaurant for many years, and was a member of the Chandler AME Methodist Church. Her parents, four brothers, Robert, Harold, Ellsworth 'Jack' and Elmer; four sisters, Alice, Ruth, Ella, and Alma; one son, Gary Wayne; and one daughter, Georgia Sue; preceded Thelma in death. Survivors include, two sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan 'Beanie Boy' and Irene Sims of Chandler, and Darnell 'Pete' and Lena Davis of Chandler, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with Bro. Doyle Loveland officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
