Thelma L. Dukes Martin of Harrah, OK, was born on January 13, 1924, in Paden, OK, and left this life on May 31, 2005, in Shawnee, OK, at the age of 81. Thelma was the daughter of Arthur & Belle Little Dukes. She worked at Beachlers IGA, Save-A-Stop, in the cafeteria at the Harrah Schools and did ironing for almost everyone in Harrah. Thelma was a member of the Harrah Church of Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and was an excellent cook. She especially delighted in cooking for the large family dinners. Thelma loved and cherished her grandkids and great-grandkids. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Murrel B. Martin; one brother, Edward Dukes; and one infant son. Survivors include 1 son & daughter-in-law, Dewayne & Jeannette Coleman, Harrah, OK; 1 daughter & son-in-law, Sue & Glenn Bredemeyer, Harrah, OK; 2 brothers & 3 sisters-in-law, Darrell & Maxine Dukes, Prague, OK, Gene & Cheryl Dukes, Prague, OK, and Dolores Dukes, Prague, OK; 3 grandchildren, Murrel Coleman, Penny Fetchik, and William Bredemeyer; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Gary Eubanks officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
